For centuries, they’ve walked among us — gods, demons, monsters — shaping history from the shadows. Worshiped by some, these nine beings destined to unite are being hunted by a fanatical cult known as the Men of Dawn, who are obsessed with a prophecy of their union. Wars have been waged, civilizations lost, yet the cult survives, waiting for the moment their prophecy comes true. Now, as the prophecy of the Nine begins to manifest to reality, the world teeters on the edge of salvation or destruction.

Coyo is living a solitary life unaware of her fate as one of the Nine. With a penchant for interfering with human affairs, but never understanding why, she finds herself questioning her existence the more she engages with humanity. Struggling to grasp identity, Coyo begins her journey of searching for old artifacts and following in the footsteps of the creatures that came before, not yet realizing the depths to which she's personally involved in the ancient prophecy of her kind.

Powers

Coyo is a vampyre-succubus hybrid, which gives her some OP abilities but I'll always reach out beforehand and won't assume she can use them with anyone :) (alternatively, feel free to give a brief rundown of what she can grab via meta)

memory absorption: for any victim that she feeds on, coyo will "taste" their memories (this includes experiencing their emotions and sensations).

life absorption: feeding is a double whammy because she's not just taking their blood, but their life force as well. nothing that can't be fixed with a nap, but it docks a couple years off someone's life. repeat feedings will eventually kill someone.

immortality: she doesn't age & heals incredibly fast. the only way to kill her is to chop off her head and burn her body.

telepath + telekinesis: can get into the minds of humans easily, other supernatural entities vary. can't move anything (or anyone) larger than 200lbs.

mind control/persuasion: leaning more on persuasion instead of absolute control. she invades someone's mind to lure them in closer to her and coax them into consenting to be fed on.

super speed/strength/agility/senses: typical vampyre powers. 2fast2furious. can hear heartbeats, sensitive to smells and lights, etc.

gravity manipulation: can't fly, but can crawl up walls like a lil creepo

dreamwalker: invades dreams of victims, giving them euphoric and usually sexual experiences as she feeds on them. (can be dub/noncon, and would be discussed)

multilingual: speaks so many languages it's out of control

Weaknesses

• maximum sunlight exposure for 2 hours, will get too tired and have a narcoleptic episode where she just ~~passes out~~ naps for the rest of the day.
• crosses burn her, can't breach "holy" ground unless summoned
• no mirror reflection but ONLY in vintage mirrors when they were made with silver
• has to be invited in to homes (this is where dream invasion comes in handy)
• no heartbeat, very cold
• fangs are not retractable

Personality

Coyo is naturally solitary — not for lack of wanting friends, but because making them has never come easy. She masks her bubbly nature with a carefully crafted aloofness, though it often slips through. In an effort to connect with humans, she spent time with the Shoshone tribe, where she proved useful in driving settlers away from their land while learning to hunt without killing. Before she gained control she was more beast than human, an untamed, naked figure haunting the forest and terrorizing its wildlife.

Curious and kind yet lacking a clear sense of boundaries, she stumbles into trouble as often as she seeks it. She navigates humanity like an alien or robot experiencing the world for the first time, finding delight in all things, whether good or bad. This sense of wonder occasionally has her acting dramatically, as she prefers to live life to the fullest.

Though age has brought her wisdom, it often feels fragmented in a way that makes it difficult for her to fully connect or empathize with the human friends she makes, and despite spending years around humans, her speech remains formal and oddly rigid, rarely using contractions—a habit she’s tried (and failed) to break. She often takes things too literally, with current phrasing or trends going over her head.

An “innocent succubus” at heart, she sometimes forgets to erase memories of those she's fed on, leaving behind more confusion than she means to. She wants to be playful, but her literal mindset and eerie presence tend to unnerve people, trapping her between fitting in and embracing what makes her different.

Aural

On the Transatlantic side; soft and sophisticated. Often starts questions and interrupts them with a long pause. ie "do you..." "is this..." which adds a dramatic effect to whatever follows.
